Halfway point of the Colorado Trail!

Yesterday's 20.9 mile day-trek along Section 14 of the CT brought me to and a bit beyond the halfway point of my Hike for Nature Education. This feels great, knowing I've reached my goal of hiking half the miles this year, with the balance left for next summer. Alex Martinez (the Honorable Ranger Alex) and my co-worker John Oribello joined me for this gorgeous hike that ended up along Hwy 50 a few miles east of Monarch Pass. The aspens were in lovely color, which only added to the gorgeous views of Mount Princeton, Mount Shavano, and the distant Sangre de Cristos.
